At the beginning of the College the Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2001. This department provides the students a sound foundation of theory, concepts; in depth working knowledge in technology and hands on experience in computer software. This Department has 2 computer centers with the latest version of computer and peripherals.
There are more than 60 systems available exclusively for this department. All the software that is needed for the students not only from the syllabus point of view but also for their overall development of computer skills are available in the labs. All the labs are fully air conditioned for the comfort of the students.
A well-qualified and dedicated team of faculty members add merit to the department. We have 5 Servers (I -LINUX, I WNDOWS 2003, 1- NT 4.0 and to Backup Servers with Y200 series and x205 series) connected to 250 P-IV nodes. The Department is having all the latest licensed Software's. Networking, DBMS, Advanced Java, Software Testing, Visual Studio.NET and Multimedia.

The students are allowed to use the lab at any time. We have setup even a separate lab for Internet Browsing, which functions 24 hrs.

 
Computer Science and Engineering Course: Duration is 4 years. The course is divided into eight semesters, each of six months duration of which the first two semesters are combined. Students will have to appear for the first University examination at the end of the 2nd semester, in April. Thereafter, they will have to appear for a University examination (theory and practical) at the end of every semester i.e., in April and December.
 

Computer Science and engineering graduates are the pillars in the current and emerging information era. Opportunities include pursuing and taking up research assignments in Hardware, System Software, Computer Engineering, Multi media, and Net Working and Communications areas.

Job opportunities are ever increasing, and are varied in nature. System Study, Analysis, Design and Programming are the inherent phases in application development, and each one of them provides enormous potential to the Computer Science and Engineering graduates to shape themselves in their career. Hi-end profiles include Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Graphic Solutions and Simulations.

we the computer science and engineering department have conducted a ‘National level Technical symposium' on 23 rd of February 2007 in the name of QUARTZITE'07. We invited all the Anna University affliated colleges and the students from various colleges have participated in all the events and won number of prizes in cash. The top scored college has been awarded the shield. In this symposium the knowledge from various minds have been exposed and shared.
